Day 1: Home -- Shanghai
In the morning, assemble at named place. Upon your arrival, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel in Shanghai. Explore Shanghai on your own.
Day 2 Shanghai
Your full day tour begins with the Yu Garden (UNESCO). Owing to its ingenious design in Ming and Qing dynasties, it becomes a real museum of Chinese ancient architecture.
Continue to visit the Shanghai Natural History Museum, witnessing the mystery of nature.
Then, take a guided bicycle tour to explore Shanghai (about 3 hours).
Option A - Shanghai highlights
Staring from central Shanghai, this route features many historical and cultural legacies of the city. You will experience essentials of Shanghai, including the French Concession, Xintiandi, Taikang Road, the Bund and the People's Square.
Option B - Old Shanghai
This route will take you to explore old streets and alleyways in Shanghai. You will visit the old downtown area near the Yu Garden, which a real museum of Chinese ancient architecture. Then, you will ride through the residential areas where you will see traditional Shikumen, a unique architectural style only found in Shanghai, combining Western building style and China’s courtyard structures.
Note: Streets in Shanghai during rush hours (7:00-9:30 and 16:00-19:00) are a little bit crowed.
Day 3 Shanghai - Suzhou (by automobile)
In the morning, take a car ride to from Shanghai to Suzhou, which is known as the "Venice of the East" is also a fantastic choice for visitors! Suzhou is a 2,500-year-old city renowned the world over for its traditional gardens, ancient canals and silk production.
Upon arrival, you will visit the Master of Nets Garden (UNESCO), the smallest and most delicate of all the beautiful gardens in Suzhou.
Then, learn Chinese calligraphy with other students in a traditional courtyard in Suzhou. Professional teacher will definitely give you an unforgettable time and unique fun in Suzhou!
Later, take a short cruise along the Grand Canal. Get on board and voyage on the longest man-made waterway in the world. The network of picturesque lakes and canals both large and small alongside will remind you at times that you are in an Oriental water wonderland.
Day 4 Suzhou – Home
In the morning, transfer to your warm home.Service ends.
